With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruby Jo Gibson of Lavaca, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruby Jo left this world on June 12, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Truman Arthur Richards and Josie Irene Richards of Shady Point; her husband Clyde Melvin Gibson of Lavaca; and her siblings, Vernon Richards and Tennie Bright.
She is survived by: her sons, Keith (Jill Gibson), Dean (Monica Gibson), Greg (Cindy Gibson) and Bennett (Tammy Nolan); and her sister June Foster of Neosho, MO. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the U. S. National Cemetery (522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church (12 W Central Ave, Central City, AR 72941).
