Janet Kay Gipson Obituary

Janet Kay Gipson, age 72, of Leachville, Arkansas, passed away on June 24, 2026.

Janet devoted her life to her family, spending her years lovingly raising her children, caring for her husband, and creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker whose greatest joy came from the people she loved.

A faithful member of her church and a devoted Christian, Janet lived her life guided by her faith in God. She found happiness in the simple things she loved most-flowers blooming in the garden, birds visiting her yard, sharing time with family, and enjoying a cold Pepsi.

Janet's kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and family that will continue for generations.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Norma Bost and Wayne Bost; her biological father, Erwin Root; her brother, Roger Root; and her sister, Terri Root.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Gipson; her daughters, April Denise Mitchell, Brandie Lee Gipson, Amy Lynn Salomon, and April Ann Vargos; her sisters, Bonnie Matthews and Robin Duncan; her brother, Billy Root; her granddaughters, Brittany, Lauren, Kaylee, and Mackenzie; her grandsons, Taylor, Jacob, Jimmy, Nathan, Dalton, Devin, and Ethan; her great-granddaughters, Chloe, Teagan, and Xyla; and her great-grandsons, Sawyer, Grayson, Rohen, Ian, Atticus, and Oliver.

Though her family grieves in her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the First United Pentecostal Church in Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Manila Cemetery in Manila, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
