He was predeceased by: his parents, Birt Leon and Mary Ruth Brown Richey. He is survived by: his wife Martha Richey of Lead Hill; his son Phillip Richey of Lead Hill; his stepchildren, Clint Phillips of Huntsville and Angela Head (Jeremy) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Brady Jones (Brooke) of Bergman and Keegan Wiseman (Isabelle) of Pyatt; and his stepgrandchildren, Caleb Phillips (Alexis) of Huntsville, Emily of Fayetteville, Kennedy Carroll (Luke) of Hindsville and Cahill Head of Huntsville. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Milum Cemetery.
