It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherrald Jones of Lexa, Arkansas, born in Lena, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Luther Brooks Jones and Lillie Estelle White Jones; his brother Charles Brook Jones; and his half-siblings, Marshall Eugene Jones and Bernice Jones Doss.
He is survived by: his wife Helen "Kitty" Jones of Lexa; his children, Jay Jones (Karyn) of Monticello, Jill Plumley (Curtis) of Helena and Danny Jones of Lexa; his siblings, Merle Jameson of Searcy, Glynn Jones of Marianna and J. B. "Brevard" Jones of Lexa; and his son Dr. Kelly Jones (Joan) of Monticello. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (302 E Baldwin Ave, West Helena, AR 72390). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
