He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan H. Brown Sr. and Emma Brown; his son Anthony Anderson Brown (Tony); and his siblings, LD Brown, Bobby Brown, Willie Brown, Shirley Brown Williams and Mae Brown Dupens.
He is survived by: his spouse Cherilyn P. Brown (Lynn); his children, Kenneth Person Brown, Dan Brown III (Eva) and Mia Brown; his goddaughters, Sonja Rideout and Candace Anderson; his brother RJ Brown; his grandchildren, Elante Williams, Kenneth Person II, Ashley, Amber Anderson and Aiya Thompson; and his great grandchild Mark D. Thompson III. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
