He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Joseph and Clara Mae Elliott Jones; his wife Betty Pennington Jones; his daughter Rhonda Gail Jones Goheen; and his sister Ruthelle.

He is survived by: his son Randy; his children-in-law, Joyce and Robert; his grandchildren, Zachary McDonald, Andrew Jones and Ashley Erskine; and his great grandchildren, Max Erskine and Emmy Jewel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church (12400 I-30, Little Rock, AR 72210). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
