He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Cave and Edward Cave; and his brother Lance Cave. He is survived by: his wife Donna Watkins Cave; his former wife Joan Baltz; his sister-in-law Meg Cave; his sibling's children, Scott Cave (Cyndee) and Corey Cave Schamberg (Ben); his children, Dr. Eric Cave (Alyson), Heidi Cave McNamer (David), Ben Brainard (Jamie) and Anne Stefanova (Nick); and his grandchildren, Jessica Cave of Asheville, NC, Emily Bunting of Sausalito, CA, Anson Stefanov of Little Rock, John Holden Brainard of Little Rock and Miriam Brainard of Little Rock.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ruebel Funeral Home (6313 W Markham St, Little Rock, AR 72205). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
