She was predeceased by: her husband Dorsey Brooks; her daughter Chiquita Brooks; and her parents, Velma Polite and Effie Lee Polite. She is survived by: her children, Regina Polite, Latreba Murphy, Latonji Lewis and Damien Brooks; and her siblings, Pursey Polite, Ardis Polite and Minnie Conley. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
