Ellen Rail Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Rail of Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Phillips and Richard Phillips; her sister Mary Sue Powers (Jim); and her son Michael Anderson Rail. She is survived by: her husband William A. Rail; her daughter Sue Ellen Rail-Wilkerson (Danny); her grandchildren, Kristin Snyder, Alex Wilkerson (Alisha) and Ashton Herrington (Sam); her great grandchildren, Jude and Eliza Snyder; and her caregiver Maxine.

A memorial service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church (4501 Rahling Rd, Little Rock, AR 72223).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The University of the Ozarks Michael A. Rail Scholarship Fund, The Arkansas Food Bank or Ozark Food Harvest in Springfield, MO.
