It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Jean Watson (Little Rock, Arkansas), who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Emma departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Emma. Though Emma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Williams and Ada Gardner; and her children, Jody Bobby Garnett, Linda Watson and Norma Jean Watson.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Watson, Jr., Charles Watson (Peggy Green), Gary Culpepper-Watson (Marchetta), Shirley Watson, Helen Aluko Watson, Larry Love Watson and Ruby Jean Watson. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
