He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ann Bene; his mother Sylvia Hicks Bene; and his siblings, Thomas Bene and Helen Langhammer. He is also survived by 22 nephews and nieces, and a host of great nephews and nieces, as well as friends and neighbors.
