We announce the death of George Washington Hess of Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 93. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mother Emma Elizabeth Barnes; his wife Laura Alice Hess; and his siblings, Goldie Rushing, Sylvester Hess and Carl Gene Hess.
He is survived by: his daughters, Esther Hess of Jacksonville and Mary Joyner of Ola; his grandchildren, Carla Hess, Robbie Hess, Matthew Minick and Marc Minick; and his great grandchildren, Michael Minick and Cadence Meelyea.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
