She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wesley and Pearlie Elizabeth Young; her spouse Tollie Lawrence of Woodson; her granddaughter Catherine Elizabeth May; her siblings, Will Young, George Young, Caesar Young, Inez Smith, Vivian Duff, Pearline Greene, Celestine Young, Arbestine Young, Geneva Davis, Marie Davis and Elizabeth Pitts; and her sisters-in-law, Viola Young-Beasley and Margie Elizabeth Young.

She is survived by: her daughter Hazel Louise (Walter); her grandchildren, Walter Lawrence May and Olivia Jacobs (Ricky); and her great grandchild Lori Jacobs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hazel Young Lawrence Endowed Scholarship at the University Of Arkansas Pine Bluff.
