Jacob Darian Osborn Obituary
Jacob Darian Osborn, 27, passed away on August 31, 2021 after taking his own life. He succumbed to his mental illnesses despite love and support from his family and friends and maximum medical therapies. He passed away in his home in Little Rock, AR that he shared with his loving sister, Tamara Osborn, her partner Maria McNeill, and their two kitties Muffins and Munchie.
The Osborns welcomed Jacob into this world on November 10th, 1993 in Torrance, CA. He was the beloved son of James D. and Jean A. (Netzer) Osborn and beloved brother to Jack Dillon Osborn of Springfield and Tamara Autumn Osborn of Little Rock. Jacob was born in southern California like his father and moved to Missouri until college. Jacob repeatedly expressed to all that his childhood was magical and special to him. As a child, Jacob loved all things Harry Potter, Club Penguin, Neopets, and Disney. He always enjoyed music and theater, securing a lead role in high school as Aladdin. He was also a star tennis player and was undefeated in tennis doubles. Jacob graduated Ozark High School with above 4.0 GPA in multiple advanced placement courses. After high school, he was awarded admission into one of the most prestigious and sought after music schools in the world: New York University Tisch School of the Arts, and he was awarded NYU’s maximum music scholarship. Following college, Jacob lived in Napa, CA with his mother; Springfield, MO with his brother; and most recently Little Rock, AR with his sister. He was always willing to pet-sit, clean, or just be present when others needed him. He lived to help and be near his family.
Those who were fortunate enough to spend time with him know that his wit, kindness, and talent were unmatched. In his spare time, Jacob loved walking at various trails and nature preserves, particularly the Springfield Nature Center. If he wasn't out enjoying nature, he could be found fine-tuning his music, chatting and laughing with family and friends, or listening to his favorite artists like Lady Gaga. Jacob also enjoyed playing games with his family, and particularly enjoyed playing Overwatch and Hearthstone with his sister and brother.
