With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Franklin Vandergrift of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Benton, Arkansas, who passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Floyd Vandergrift and Cansaida Elizabeth Weaver Vandergrift; his son Brent Vandergrift; and his siblings, Donna Goodnight, Nina Emery and Samuel Dee Vandergrift.
He is survived by: his wife Vercie Beaty Vandergrift; and his children, Brad Vandergrift (Lori), Mark Vandergrift (Jacquelyn) and Belinda Rogers (Gill). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ashby Funeral Home Chapel (108 W Narroway St, Benton, AR 72015). A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the Pine Crest Cemetery.
