He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Rice and Hattie Rice; and his siblings, Mae Bertha Rice and Thomas Rice, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Rice; his children, Charles Rice (Cynthia), Danny Rice (Tonya), Trina Rice-Brown, Rodney Rice, Chris Johnson (LaFondra), Ayanna Woods, Deon and ShaRhonda Hoard (Eric); and his sisters, Emma Rice and Leola Adams.
