With sadness, we share the passing of Joan Marshall Pettit of Little Rock, Arkansas. Joan, born on May 20, 1931, passed away on July 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Newton Marshall and Carroll Sugg Marshall; her husband Kenneth Allen Pettit of Little Rock; her son Andrew Scott Pettit; and her great-grandparent Joan Pettit.
She is survived by: her son Allen Marshall Pettit (Holly) of Little Rock; her grandchildren, Heather Brianne Reed (Randall) of Woodlawn, Marshall Clayton Pettit of Little Rock and Natalie Marie Pettit of Little Rock; and her great grandchildren, Brantley Keith Reed and Bellamy Kate Reed of Woodlawn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home (8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR 72205). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (509 Scott St, Little Rock, AR 72201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Presbyterian Village Foundation.
