He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Barnes Sr. and Lorraine Merriman Barnes; and his pets, Sissy and Khaki. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Cranford Barnes; his daughters, Christy Robinson (Aaron) of Jacksonville and Megan Keener (Josh) of Harrison; his grandchildren, Mia, Alex Robinson, Parker and Wyatt Keener; his sister Lisa Olmstead (Dwight); and his pet Gracie.
A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heber Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. James United Methodist Church or Pulaski Technical College.
