With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Floyd Mays Sr. (Little Rock, Arkansas), who passed away on September 26, 2019 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Prince Mays and Almeta Mays; his wife Barbara Wesley; his son John Mays, Jr.; and his siblings, Sedrick Mays and Vera Bates.

He is survived by: his daughters, Connie L. Riley (Andre) of Redford, Adrian D. Mays of Bloomfield, Catherine C. Bozant and Pamela Mays of Bronx; and his siblings, Dewayne Mays (Jareldine) of Lincoln, Frederick Mays of Little Rock, Arkansas, Delois Carswell of Jacksonville, Esther Bailey (James) of Greenwood, Joyce Morgan of Little Rock, Patricia Ross of Canton, Caron Beasley of Dallas and Jacqueline Mullins (Tommie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
