He is survived by: his girlfriend Toni Popp; his children, Cindy Whiteside Hammerquist (Rob) and John Satterfield Whiteside; his grandchildren, Thomas Whiteside Hammerquist and Alice Poppy Hammerquist; his brother Charles B. Whiteside III (Cappy); his niece Carrie Whiteside Smalling (Mark); his great-niece Caitlyn Brandom; his great-nephew Charlie Brandom; and his pet Levon.
