He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pierce and Annie Pierce; his granddaughter Caitlin Johnson; and his siblings, Fairel Pierce, Jeff Pierce, Roy Pierce, Annie Kennedy, Elvie Pierce, Clio Wheeler and Lois Sneed.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Privett Pierce; his children, Keith Pierce (Stacy), Jane Luallen (John), Kirk Pierce (Laura) and Kerry Pierce (Kerrie Anne); his sisters, Betty Wheeler and Norma Sams; and his sister-in-law Faye Pierce. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren.
