She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd White and Alma White; her husband Johnny Carter; and her sister Christene Holt. She is survived by: her son Shane Carter of Little Rock; her sister Melba Wheeler of St. Peters, Missouri; and her pet Ben. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; other extended family members and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America or the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation.
