L. B. Easter, Jr. Obituary

L. B. Easter, Jr., of Maumelle, departed this life with his family at his bedside on Saturday, August 24, 2019, in Little Rock. He was born November 2, 1946, in Buckner, Arkansas and received his education in Stamps. He then attended AM&N College, now UAPB, in Pine Bluff, graduating in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. He also obtained a Master of Science in Education, from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.

L. B. started his teaching career, which spanned over 40 years, at Wilmot, Arkansas. He also taught at Stamps High School, Augusta Middle School, and Pulaski Heights Middle School in Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L. B. Easter, Sr. and Ola Mae Johnson; and brother, Henry L. “Chick” Easter.

L. B. is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Easter; sons Stephonne Easter and Kelley Easter; daughters Kimberly Burks Easter, Kristy Easter, and Lauren (Chris) Hart; five grandchildren; brother, Floyd Henry (Aldean) Young; sister, Linder Dunson; and uncle, Floyd “Junior” Webb.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Buckner Community Cemetery of Buckner. Arrangements are by A. O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps. Online guestbook http://www.aosmithfuneralhome.com
