He was predeceased by: his sister Elisabeth. He is survived by: his brother Leif Gren; and his stepdaughter Valerie Elliot Shepard (Walt). He is also survived by eight children and eleven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Lars wished donations be made in his memory to the Elisabeth Elliot Foundation (http://www.elisabethelliot.org) which carries on her legacy and continues to point people to Jesus.
