He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence Sr. McKellips and Vera McKellips (Ernestine); his daughter Deborah; his sister Betty Penrod; his nephews, Donovan Briley and Michael Neal; his son Lance (Beth); his wife Virginia McKellips; his son John McKellips Sr. (Theresa); his grandchildren, John Jr., Bradley, Dottie, Victoria, Erin, Ivey, Jack, Zach, Aaron and Ashlyn; and his sister Judy Smith. He was also cherished by several loving nephews, nieces, cousins.
