She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Kumpe and Elizabeth Kumpe (Pifer); her husband Homer Surrett, Sr.; and her daughter Karen Sue Surrett. She is survived by : her granddaughter Karen Nicole Surrett; her great grandchildren, Bryan and Hayden Dillard; and her siblings, Evelyn Basel, Ernie Kumpe, Carlyon Frederick and Sandra Upchurch. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Family Funeral Home - North Little (1921 Main St, North Little Rock, AR 72114). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Ivy Chapel Cemetery (2523 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72206).
