She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Waits, Sr. and Laura Waits; and her siblings, Walter Waits, Jr., Charlie Waits and Mary Waits.
She is survived by: her husband James Rivers Thompson; her children, Howard Tucker, Ramona Girley and Kimberly Moore; her stepdaughter Tashia Billups (Maurice); and her sisters, Ruthie Waits and Lula Mae Oneyka. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
