In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her husband James Scott, Sr.; her son Marcus Scott; her grandson Marcus Scott, Jr.; and her parents, George McKinney and Pernella Thomas McKinney.

She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Scott-Smith and James Scott, Jr.; and her siblings, Bernice Hart, Linda Faye Brown, Robert McKinney, Burnett McKinney, Mike McKinney and Charles McKinney. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
