She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Shavers and Elisha Shavers; her husband Augustus Cecil "A. C." Mitchell of Peter's Rock Baptist Church; her brother Henry Shavers; her stepsister Lisa Morris; her stepson Ricky Calhoun Sr.; her great grandchild Julius Duncan; and her friend Henry Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughter Conzy Mitchell of Memphis, Tennessee; her grandchildren, CaNeshia McNeal, Caron Coleman, Cheron Hird (Chris), Andre Duncan, LeKyndra Duncan, LeChunda Stokes (Will), D'Maury Mitchell, Ricky Calhoun Jr. and Nicole Calhoun; her siblings, Clyde Collins (Evelyn) of Grady, Morris Collins (Geraldine) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Dora Duncan (Herb) of Kansas City and Swayzene Ryce (Rodney) of Antioch, California; her stepsisters, Ora Shavers Manuel (Jerome) of Chicago, Gloria Jackson (Curtis) of Little Rock, Stephanie Shavers of Pine Bluff and Twyla Shavers of Overland Park, Florida.; her niece Miranda; and her friend Cheryl Washington. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brown-Calhoun Funeral Service (7117 Geyer Springs Rd, Little Rock, AR 72209). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peters Rock Baptist Church (2201 Brown St, Little Rock, AR 72204).
