She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Maurice Buttram and Velma Lenore Adams Buttram; her siblings, John M. Buttram and Julie Adams; and her stepson John Ragin Miller.

She is survived by: her husband John Terrel Miller; and her niece Kimberly Bishop.

In honor of her love for nature, memorials may be directed to the National Wildlife Federation to support the preservation of wildlife corridors.
