She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Warner and Mary Warner (Thurston); her mother-in-law Cleora Denney (Bell); and her siblings-in-law, Harold Denney (Jean), Connie Baker, Annie Moeckel (Harley) and Dale Denney (Betty Jo Matiska).
She is survived by: her husband Howard Denney; her sons, Michael Denney (Meredith) and John Denney (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Evan, Leah, Nolan, Garrett and Makenna; her siblings, Betty Warner, Phyllis Vaughn, Orin Warner, Ginny Kyser (Mitch) and Joanne "Joni" Warner-Patton (Perry); and her close friends, Tom and Mary Welch. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sherwood Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Thelma's family asks that offerings be made to Arbor Hospice (Ann Arbor), Henry Ford Hospice Home (Jackson), or the Napoleon (MI) United Methodist Church.
