With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon McClain of Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bowman McClain and Zelma Lee McClain; and his siblings, Virginia Harper and James McClain. He is survived by: his wife Kaye McClain; his stepson John McPherson (Blythe) of Rogers; his sons, Benjamin and Ethan; his stepson Chad McPherson (Amber) of Jacksonville; his stepgrandchildren, Quinn and Brynn; his siblings, Sheryl Thornburg (Bob) and Eddie McClain (Lana); and his nieces, Kelli Ellis (Scott), Kim Davis (Michael), Karen Johnson, Kristin Sharp (Todd) and Casey Grass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
