He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lorraine Hirst, and William Hirst, Sr.; his wife Pat Harrelson; his sons, C. Hirst of Ocean View and Trevor Hirst of Vienna, Virginia; his brothers, Peter Hirst of Little Rock, Richard Hirst of Allentown, PA and David Hirst of Baltimore; and his pet Darby. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
