It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Frances McElroy of Lockesburg, Arkansas, born in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Cardell and Alice Hill (Thompson); her husband Otis James McElroy (O. J.); her son James Otis McElroy; her siblings, Lee Artis Hill, Willie Hill, Jr., Nathaniel Hill, Leola McGee, Alliece Burns, Annette Archie Rhodes and Virginia Burns; her sons-in-law, Irvy Lee Bacy and Ramon Cortez Butler, Jr.; and her granddaughter Rolona Nell Johnson.
She is survived by : her children, Lois Marie McElroy Bacy, Charles Ray McElroy (Tisha), Debra Jean McElroy Butler and Anthony Wayne McElroy; her daughter-in-law Marilyn Shelley McElroy; her sisters, Evangelist Pauline Gentry, Charlene Hogan, Mother Chrystell Draper, Mother Maxcine Thomas, Leola Wilkerson, Jimmie White, Peggy Wynn and Betty Lewis; and her grandchildren, Telisa Shelley, James Otis McElroy, Jr. (Jamie), Shelley McElroy Cheridor, Toska Scott, Alesha McElroy, Marcus McElroy, Nicole Butler and Michelle Butler. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
