He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Nix and Sarah Pauline Nix; and his siblings, Paul, Raymond, Richard, Inez Bariella and Helen Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Lucille Holley; his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Richard Phelps; his grandchildren, Peyton Phelps and Garrett Phelps (Faith); and his sisters, Dorothy Cutchall and Joyce Jordan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (207 E 2nd St, Lonoke, AR 72086). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lonoke First United Methodist Church (220 S Center St, Lonoke, AR 72086). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the Lonoke Cemetery (1104 W 3rd St, Lonoke, AR 72086).
