He was predeceased by : his parents, Courtney Murray Summers and Minnie Iva Summers (Sursa); his wife Alma Jones (Linda Summers); and his siblings, Johnny, Buck, Pete, Wilburn and Ruth.

He is survived by : his children, Walton Summers II (Penny), Lisa Summers and Catherine Summers; his grandchildren, Walton Summers III (Amber), Stacey Sims, Cody Sims (Rebecca) and William Summers (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Jaddan, Ivory, Makenzie, Landon, Addalynn, Emma, Hayden and Izabella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park (1504 N J P Wright Loop Rd, Jacksonville, AR 72076).
