He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Lay, Jr. and Nora E. Lay; and his sister Betty Lay Beeson. He is survived by: his daughter Brandy Gilley (Sonny) of Dumas; his siblings, Charlotte Newton (Jim) of Louann and Gaylon Lay (Penny) of Tyro; and his grandsons, Dylan and Jentson Gilley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel (109 Brasfield St, Dumas, AR 71639). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
