She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Beard and Margaret Chaffin Beard; her husband George Bareis; and her sister Patricia Beard. She is survived by: her son Ron Kunze; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Kunze, Garion Hill and Maya Blackheart.
