He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Burns and Addie Burns; his brother Paul; his granddaughter Crystal; and his daughter-in-law Carolyn.

He is survived by: his former wife Bobbie Humphries; his son Tony; his wife LaMoyne; his children, Keith (Nora) of Tyler, TX, Eric (Kerrie) of Colorado, Ernie (Amy) of Camden, AR and Patty of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Josh (Kristen), Matthew (Jessica), Skylar (Hannah), Chase (Rayvn), Garrett (Jessica), David (Hannah), William Mayes and Macy Mayes; and his nephew Joe Paul (Brenda). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
