He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Freer, Jr. and Elizabeth Garner Freer; his wife Marilyn Weeks Freer; his son James Craig Freer; and his brother-in-law Glen Brandon.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Freer (Stephenie) of Malvern, Lisa Kuykendall (Lee) of Malvern and Charlotte Thomas (Michael) of Jasper; his sisters, Shelby Brandon of Sherwood, Susan Freer of Little Rock and Kathy Hardman (Jerry) of Ivan; his grandchildren, Sunni Costello (Jacob), Tyler Strother (Sarah), Bryce Freer, Parker Freer, Harlan Jones (Amanda), Abigale Jones, Neelah Agus, Maggie Thomas, Aaron Thomas and Kiauna Curtis (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Hayes Costello, Caroline Costello, Adelaide Costello, Raylan Curtis, Adeline Jones, Haiden Jones, Hadleigh Jones and Cameron Strother.
