He was predeceased by: his father Oscar; and his siblings, James Carl Beard, Nancy Beard Milsap and Francis Beard Abbott. He is survived by: his wife Erika Beard; his children, Ernest Beard (Sara), Eric Beard (Connie), Richard Beard, Cody Beard (Sarah), Danny Beard (Paula) and Cynthia Beard; and his siblings, Donald Beard and Lenora Bell. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
