He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herschel Russell and Josie Orr Russell. He is survived by: his wife Melba Cornelius Russell; his sons, Eric Russell of Jones Mill and Terry Russell; his daughter-in-law Catherine Collins Russell; his daughter Dawn Russell; his grandsons, Britton and Brandon Russell; his great grandchild Cora Russell of Malvern; and his sisters, Marilyn Stephens (Jerry) of Grand Prairie and Linda Pennington (Ed) of Sherwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Malvern Leopard Athletic Foundation.
