Jewel Dean Dawn Obituary

We announce the death of Jewel Dean Dawn (Malvern, Arkansas), born in Carthage, Arkansas, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 77. Jewel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Wilson and Ollie Mae Wilson; her siblings, Freddie Wilson, Donnie Wilson and Pearl Wilson; and her grandson Oliver Joshua McNeely.

She is survived by: her significant other Julius Paul Dawn; her children, Patrick Dawn (Ebonie), Alicia McNeely, Tarsha Dawn, Sonya Brown, Kameron Dawn, Tamara Brunston, Jason Parlor (San) and Daijour Dawn (Raina); her siblings, Mattie Wilson and Jerome Wilson; and her grandchildren, Daijour, Khalid, Kanika, Oshae, Jashon, Kemiya, Kelsey, Jacoriae, Zaiya, Olivia, Takayla, Ashontee, Miracle, Trason, Kensli, Calvin Jr., Ju'Licia, Kennedi, Ka'marion, Kameron Jr., Ka'melo, Ace and Ava. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carthage First Missionary Baptist Church. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

She will be remembered for her contributions to her community, including making the first drill team uniform for Carthage.
