He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ray Dawson and LaVelle Bryant Dawson; his wife Cheryl Gassman Dawson; and his sister Jean Crumby. He is survived by: his sons, Kyle Len Dawson and Matthew Ray Dawson; his grandchildren, Eli Dawson, Ty Dawson, Kori Beth Dawson and Kaleigh Dawson; his great grandchild Wayne Dawson; and his close friend Charla Lightfoot Mathews.
