He was predeceased by: his father Earl Doss; his daughter Diane Doss Williams; and his great grandchild Bo Dillon Kidder. He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Doss (Theresa) and Dennis Doss (Sherri); his grandchildren, Jennifer Burks (Andy), Amy Clements (Jeremy), Wendy Folds (J. R.), Sara Baker (Chad), John Doss (Monique), Staci Allen (Chris), Sheena Doss and Skyler Doss; and his son-in-law Bob Williams. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
