He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Whitley and Addie Chancellor Whitley; and his brother Thurman Whitley. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Helms Whitley; his children, Terry Whitley (Theresa), Wayne Whitley (Kim) of Maumelle and Tami Murphy (Ken) of El Dorado; his siblings, Herman Whitley of Bismarck, Louise Hancock of Hot Springs and Melba Buck (Pete) of Caney; his sister-in-law Shirley Whitley of Caney; his grandchildren, Stephanie Honold (Zack), Kristen Wilson (Ryan), James Whitley, Tyler Whitley, Zach Whitley, Chance Murphy (Sage), Clay Murphy (Taylor) and Colby Murphy (Madison Hightower); and his great grandchildren, Caden Honold, Rhett Wilson, Ruby Wilson, Roman Murphy, Noah Murphy, Chloe Murphy and Jack Murphy.
