She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hawks and Juerlean Atchley Hawks; her husband Winston Hairston; her son Jerry Brown; and her siblings, Shelia Smith, Jimmy Hawks, Patricia Jones, Teddy Hawks and Billy Hawks.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Brown (Angela) of Benton, Jennifer Hearnsberger of Malvern and Patty Freeman (Jamie) of Malvern; and her grandchildren, Alyssa Ramsey, Bonnie Ray (Austin), Tyler Draper, Alisa Roberts (Nick), Morgan Freeman, Marisa Snider (Caleb), Landon Freeman, Destiny Bell, Billy Brown, Chanler Brown, Savana Brown, Samantha Efird (Logan) and Bradley Cooper.
