He is survived by: his wife Lourene Thaxton-Smith; his stepchildren, Amy Kutka of Malvern, Mendy Corter of Richmond, Virgina and David Adams of Hot Springs; his daughter Amanda Smith Jones (Casey Jones) of Malvern; his siblings, John Smith of Tulip, Phillip Smith (Jo) of Tulip and Donna Smith of Aztec; his grandchildren, Jenna, Pike Thaxton, Denton, Delia, Dinah, Delta Wiley, Dalton (Stacia), Conner (Morgan), Brooks Homan (Brittany), Colton Corter (Lindsey), Jackson, Jasmine Adams, Ella Scarlett, Avrie Anna and Aliza Claire Jones; his godson Trace Medlin; Dylan, Mary Thaxton of Hot Springs, Jared and Jessica Wiley of Benton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, The Malvern Boys and Girls Club, and Arkansas Children's Hospital.
