With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Mae Burks (Malvern, Arkansas), who passed away on December 1, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Ritchey and Willie Ritchey; her husband William Gail Burks; her children, Steven Ray Burks and Linda Gail Burks; and her sisters, Flossie Fite and Maxine Williams.

She is survived by : her daughters, Carol Abernathy (Malvern) and Laurie Burks of Grand Prairie, TX; her grandchildren, Hether Embry (Brian), Josh Burks (Ashley), Kevin Abernathy (April), Bradley Hickey (Courtney) and Nick Abernathy Ashton (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Christian, Shaun, Avery, Kayla, Lily, Kaylie, Ella, Townes, Milo, Vance and Auri; and her siblings, Daisy McHenry of Monroe, LA and Roy Ritchie (Hot Springs).
