He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Gennetta Geraldine Cockrum Jackson; and his sister LaVelle Jackson Mann. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Marie Jackson; his daughters, Melita Sims Ellington (Brian) of Conyers, Gina Jackson of Monette, Rhonda Jackson Witcher (Ronnie) of Middleburg, Dana Simpkins of Manila and Kayla Jackson Pinkard (Matt) of Grand Forks; his sister Patricia "Pat" Ellis (Larry) of Gosnell; his grandchildren, Corey Sims, Clayton Redding, Camden Metheny, Tyler Simpkins, Mariah Green and Katie Metheny; and his great grandchildren, Ethen Sims and Devlen Sims.
